Reverend Frist
Oil on canvas, 55"x40" (2005)
"Until late in 2006, Senator Bill Frist (R-TN) wanted to be President really badly. He was into politics for the power alone, evidently, as he was willing to wreck the Senate to achieve Republican party goals. Frist was widely known as "the Reverend" on Capitol Hill for his habit of confusing fundamentalist evangelical beliefs with secular law. His button, by the way, reads "The Inquisition is just beginning." "
