"While helping in a nursing home one day, I spotted a photograph of one of their outings that reminded me immediately of Renoir's "Luncheon of the Boating Party". The people living in the nursing home had just as much enjoyment, in their own way, as the young people in Renoir's painting did. This image was built from many sketches of my friends in the nursing home."
